Looking for something exotic, but do not spend hundreds of thousands? Then you might want to try this Alfa, which is now for the Grabs on Bring A Trailer
It is a 1991 Alfa Romeo SZ – one of the most unusual vehicles ever produced by the Italian car manufacturer or Zagato. It is one of only 1.036, and only 100, which were originally exported to Japan – but has since then been to Vermont (hence the green plate) and is now listed for sale in Northern California. The sprint for Sprint Zagato, The Alfa SZ was based on the Alfa Romeo 75 sedan, but it was equipped with a much more unusual body, which could only have been produced in the early 1990s. The power came from a 3.0-liter V6 with a power of 210 hp, which was powered by a five-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels.
In a very original (albeit not concerted) state, this 585th example was made 33,000 miles on the clock, and has been properly maintained. Bidding (as we write these words) stands at $ 40,000 with four days to go before the virtual hammer falls.
